I don't care if it isn't translated, bring this out over here, Konami!

Eh, the Goemon games are probably too offensive to do that given the humor in them so they'll want to keep them Japan only.

I would love to see them too, I was fascinated by the games as a kid but never played them.

We're aware of the transphobia, dude, no need to tiptoe around it. Something made in the 80s and 90s having dated humor? Shock and awe, this will offend the people I made up in my head!

Now.
This is the first time I’ve heard of it but I shouldn’t be too surprised

I mean, I do remember some people got really pissed off at the fan translation for Ganbare Goemon 3 because they accurately translated the newhalf jokes in it. So those were some very real people who did get offended at that stuff and not imaginary at all.

To be fair we only got... 3 games in America officially I think? Most of the series is relatively unknown here. One SNES game and two N64 games. They were all heavily censored in the process so it's understandable to not know what these games have in them. I mean, the first N64 game had a recurring joke where Goemon would call the villains the f-word (the derogatory term for gay men one). The English version simply censored it to him calling him a "weirdo" instead. They removed a lot of stuff like the Old Man's porno magazines now being 'hot rod magazines' and similar censorship relating to fanservice, pervy humor, gay jokes, and the like that was common for Japanese games (and still is)
Anyway, yeah, most of the series is untranslated here so I doubt this is coming here since it'd be a lot of localization work. And they'd no doubt have to censor and remove a lot of stufff from them.

Anyone who's played the games would realize why Konami chose to region lock this to a Japan only release on Steam. It's for the best this series stays in Japan knowing how wild people get on the internet can get. Not a bear worth poking.
