Frozen Teardrop has been a long time coming, especially after they were coy with the 30th anniversary video having brand new designs for the characters and suits that are Frozen Teardrop-esque but not actually the FT designs

I'm gonna keep my expectations low. Partly because as much as I love Gundam Wing, I haven't been all that enamored with the sequels (though I understand and respect what they were going for), partly because the cynic in me is just expecting something else on the same level as that Frozen Teardrop picture drama they released several years ago.

I suspect that if they were planning something more substantial -- even just an OVA or movie, nevermind a full-blown TV show -- they'd just say that, rather than being vague about it.

Still, the little animated short film was pretty dang gorgeous, so I'd be happy even just to get another Wing short like the one we got for the 30th Anniversary last year.

I never read Frozen Teardrop but it feels weird considering Endless Waltz was meant to be the definitive ending of Heero's missions considering he had scenes of him playing around happily, tell the enemy that he will never kill again and then the destruction of all Gundams.

It sounds to me like they've made plans, made proposals, but haven't yet secured the funding?

I do think it will involve Frozen Teardrop though since the proper MS designs from those novels have been a long time coming.

Speaking of which, I always had the impression that the recent Gundam Eight manga was originally envisioned as a new animated series, being set in a new universe and all. I wonder if it ended up being a manga project because of similar funding reasons.

At this point, I've accepted that there's no such thing as a definitive ending.

Mixed feelings about Frozen Teardrop, some parts I liked and some parts I didn't. I'll definitely check out whatever they put out though. Seeing Hathaway 2 on Sunday if all goes!

Gundam Wing will always be one of my favorites regardless of what the haters say. I guess I would be open to doing one more OVA like Frozen Teardrop but I'm also fine just having another music video or something because Endless Waltz was already the perfect ending for the series.

Me personally I would love it if Glory of the Losers was told in movies, in the same way Gundam movies edit parts of their TV anime counterparts. They can change parts that need to be changed and include both versions of all of the mecha. I have a feeling that is not going to happen but who knows.

Is "visual project" a confirmation of animation? Because, arguably, Frozen Teardrop is all they really have as a logical sequel.

You'd hope this wouldn't be dubbed in the U.S. They had Hildreth, McNeil and Swaile as guests on a panel at SDCC last year. Bandai even got Ocean's owner for an extremely rare on-camera interview for the Endless Waltz screenings. Last I checked, Beley didn't live in Vancouver anymore, but that's not as big of an obstacle in 202X as it was in the past. Her husband even recorded some Norm of the North DTVs remotely for Ocean years ago.

It seems they've partially learned their lesson from the SEED debacle (I don't think they'll be recanting on those recasts, though) as they also had Swaile narrate a Hathaway promo as Setsuna.

I mean, they're going to have to recast a few people if it goers to dub (no getting around those who've retired or died)

I'm a bit against doing more with the plot of Gundam Wing because all the times they've done so (through GOL, FT and even model kits) have made it more convoluted and toyetic.
They need to keep it simple, like a short story set during the series or a prequel. I wouldn't mind something like Gundam Evolve 7.

Either that or animate G-Unit.

Y'all we don't even know what this project is yet for people to be making up things to be mad about on the Internet.
