This was a bad idea. Now those who have not been reading the manga are going to see this story fall apart.

I don't really pay attention to this series, but does the manga get worse after this point? Or is this a case of "Anime somehow is worse than the manga, and it goes further downhill"?

Because it feels like a lot of the issues of the anime are a mix of TMS not putting any effort into it, combined with a pretty crappy source manga.

TMS could make it the most visually stunning anime in the world and it still wouldn't be any better. The 1st season wasn't bad but as it continued it got worse surprisingly the 5th season wasn't as bad as the 3rd, which for me was the lowest point in the series. It's basically the anime version of a soap opera, it goes on forever and nothing significant ever happens.

I meant that more in the writing, not visuals. TMS has been mostly going downhill on that part since the 2020s hit. Also doesn't answer the first part of my question as to whether this is an anime-only problem, or if this is an issue with the source material also.

I watch it for the girls, not to self insert at the harem MC. Do people actually do that? Thought it was only a meme. Kazuya's just there as a plot device.

The story in the manga goes downhill from here. This is more a warning than a spoiler...Kazuya starts reverting back to the pathetic person he was at the beginning of the story and even starts dragging the once confident Mizuhara down with him. For the VTuber fans, Yaemori is the only character that makes it possible to keep reading/watching the series at this point.

I always wonder why this anime keeps getting renewed. I watch it. It’s not the worst anime, but there are countless others that deserve renewals. This anime isn’t one of them.
.

I'm not annoyed that this gets another season.

No, not at all. Not per se.

I'm annoyed at all the shows that never got even a second season whilst this gets a sixth. A work with quality female characters, but a disaster on everything else.

Which goes to show that the database consumption culture is real. An increasing number of people don't care about storylines or plot in anime fandom. Just whatever makes them horny, or self-insertion.

Same here. I picture Lizzie's voice when I read the manga.

It's a shame so many companies don't seem to understand this simple fact and keep failing spectacularly and refusing to do what fans want. Ah well... those who do get rewarded with success.
