Do you like Tactics? If you've never seen it you need to watch it. If you have seen Tactics then I have a question. I don't understand how the heck everyone got their "Mystical Powers." I mean how are they supposed to get them. I don't think that they explain it very well. If you do like Tactics then what is your favourite episode.

I will explain to you my friend. Its simple really-[b]THEY GET THEIR FREIKING POWERS FROM BEING POSSESED FROM EVIL SPIRITS, HOW MORE OBVIOUS COULD IT BE!!!!! With that being said, i love tactics
 I love episode 13 were the army people vanish and haruka is targeted by the same people and i love how watanabe uses the cannon to fight.[/b]

With a title like "tactics" I was expecting something more cerebral than demon killing in Meiji-era Japan with a hodgepodge of Western and Eastern occult ideas. Not that there's anything bad about that, but I was a little disappointed.

It's certainly no intellectual tour-de-force, but I'm enjoying its Sci-Fi run well enough. I see it as the anime equivalent of junk food: not much substance, but a lot of fun.

I'm still a bit upset about the dubtitles. It's funny how big of a deal the Zeta and Blood+ dubtitles are yet nobody besides me seems to care about the ones on the R1 Tactics. I actually turned the subs off on the later volumes (like I did on Zeta) since I would find the discrepancies rather distracting. Between that and the really long wait for the last DVD frustrated me about the release.
Overall I enjoyed the series and found the supporting cast the best part of the series. I found Yoko rather cute and Muuchan hilarious. I also love the episode that was dedicated to Reiko. The characters make me like this series over the incomplete Shounen Onmyouji which shared many of the same themes. |
