spoiler[After about 20 chapters of basically fillers they final show us Ichigo(the main character)at the end of Chapter 339.] How did you feel when Kubo Tite got your hopes up again and then crushed them with "Please Read Bleach Next Week in the Next Issue of Weekly Jump"? I love Bleach, but I don't know if I can take the mood swings D: LOL. How do you Feel Very Happy?

I've been emotionally dead to Bleach for about a year now. Maybe more, I can't remember. That there is no longer any humor or significant plot, (okay, except the swing back the pendulum arc) makes me wonder why I still bother paying any attention. The fights are so bland and tedious (generally the advantage has to switch at least three times before a fight can end) that I don't even care when one of the characters I used to get excited for shows up to duke it out with somebody else.

It doesn't help either that since everyone uses swords, there aren't really many variations in combat style. Sure, they have different power ups, but most of those are I-charge-up-my-energy-and-shoot-it-at-you attacks. At least in a manga like Fairy Tale, you rarely see more than two characters with the same method of fighting.

Non-Naruto readers should not read that second spoiler.

My sentiments exactly. However on the Fairy Tail side my main issue with the story is that it is a complete rehash of the plot for Rave just done in a different world with better written characters. Still, its more entertaining than Bleach.

As for Ichigo, meh who cares? He's just going to win anyways.

That's what makes me worried. I started with Fairy Tail, but would love to read Rave Master, but if it's basically the same, it'd be a waste of time (and money, 30+ volumes = yikes!). So I guess I should stick to Fairy Tail, huh?

You got it, besides the characters in Rave aren't as compelling as the ones in Fairy Tail... which is why I dropped Rave after 23 volumes.

My big issue with Fairy Tale is that I don't find anything outside of the fights engaging. Well, characters maybe; I don't care about the story, and the male lead's motion-sickness doesn't make for funny comic relief (it's not bad as a combat handicap, though).

Oh I completely agree, as I said I feel the story is a complete rehash of Rave and as comic relief the motion-sickness isn't that funny but I found the characters more compelling and I cared about them more than any character in Rave.
