Anybody know of a good anime news website I can refer to at work until ANN takes the cleavage-intensive picture down? I mean, it doesn't offend me, but my co-workers are fussy about such things.

That picture was not picked because of the cleavage. But rather for its colors and very nice (in our opinion) art. In fact some staff members were worried that someone might take offense, but I naively thought that our readers weren't quite that uptight. The issue of viewing it at work had not occurred to me. We will be adding a cookie based option to siable thge bottom part of the picture so that you can see a "clean" version of it. Perhaps you will even appreciate the picture more that way. -t |

I'm not sure if people should be reading us at work, since we typically aren't work-related reading. ^^; As for the art, one vote different and it would've gone another way. I think it's a nice piece of art, a bit flamboyant perhaps, but well-done nonetheless. I think we can all agree on that much. Is it appropriate for our website? The picture itself is about what you might find in a "PG-13" movie, IMO.. There's no nudity, but the implication is there. Over 3/4ths of our readers are at least 18 years old.. so technically, for the majority of our readers, they're of an age where they can decide for themselves if it's appropriate or not. Of the 25% that aren't 18+, virtually all (96% of the 25%) are at least 14. I think, based on that, and the fact we'll be including a cookie to disable viewing her body, everyone should be happy. i think. |

I've taken this opportunity to add a feature we've been thinking about for some time. It was almost the same thing as making that censor-with-cookie thing, so ANN now has a brand new poll system! Unlike the polls in the forums, even non-registered users can use this one. The question for our first poll will be: Does the cleavage bother you in the ANN Christmas logo? And depending on your answer the Christmas logo will change. Wheee!
