Has anyone heard of MapleStory? It's an anime-style game that is taking Asia by storm. Check out the english beta that came out last week... www.mapleglobal.com. It's totally free by the way. Also, they may make an animation out of the characters... in Korea the Childrens comic is ranked pretty high.
The characters are bighead style and really cute. |

Why's it different again
It just looks like online game with same style as most Anime games. Could you be more specific about it differences, to be honest I haven't signed up so tell me about it? Looking at the front webpage it looks alot like fire Emblem or Final Fantasy  a RPG.

Dispite all comments, I've started this game about a little less than a week ago now. The chibi-ness can be likened to Ragnarok, but the system is that of a 2-D platformer/mmorpg. I like it. I don't believe it's that new though, and the fact that it borrows elements from anime does not make it a breakthrough game. Although, I reccomend it to people with some time to burn. I don't know if it's going to go onto a pay system after the beta, as they already have a cash system (where you can buy items via paypal or such). The 2-D platformer aspect of it is a nice fresh breath of air, after so many fixed camera overhead perspective games. Give it a try. =P
