I was watching Full Moon wo Sagashite and I've read the manga and have seen the Anime, and am a total fan of this serie, but after I watched the Anime end I never looked at anime the same way I ever did....
I was wondering if there were other anime's like this, really beautifull and suddenly real dramatic and such, I've been searching for series like Full Moon wo Sagashite, but I can't seem to find any, does anyone have any tips on specific anime's like this one? I preferably like sad anime's with cute sad girls in it... |

yeah, well, Japanese names are always harder to find, took me a while to find all Episodes of Full Moon (52 episodes), but it was worth it in the end, but thanks anyway, I'll look it up, can you give me a brief preview about the anime? |

I've seen some wallpapers and looks nice, but it looks to me that this is kind of Ecchi like, is that true?
Well, on the looks of this wallpaper I think "Suzumiya Haruka" is my favourite http://minitokyo.net/downloads/Minitokyo_Anime.Wallpapers_Kimi.ga.Nozomu.Eien_%5B2862%5D.jpg |

No, it isn't ecchi at all. There are some suggestive scenes, but thats about it.
It was #1 on AnimeNfo's top 100 anime list the entire time when it was airing last year and a little bit after that. It is still #2 on that list, just under Rurouni Kenshi - Reminiscence. http://www.animenfo.com/statistic/top100.php?type=anime Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien has an average rating of 9.5 out of 333 Reviews, and a 8.671 f (average, total reviews) Here on this website, it has the following: Seen in part or in whole by 318 users, rank: #163 Median rating: Excellent Arithmetic mean: 8.2103 (Very good+.21), std. dev.: 2.0636, rank: #149 Weighted mean: 8.0331 (Very good+.03), rank: #176 Bayesian estimate: 8.00685 (Very good+.00), rank: #86 |

Well, if it's between Rurouni kenshin and Full Moon wo Sagashite, my 2 most favourite anime's/manga's of all, than it HAS to be good, I have to have this anime (Starts searching on the internet and in the Anime store at once)

Try FRUITS BASKET. It's funny and smooth comedy at beginning but is quite dramatic later on. I highly recommend you this great anime.

Hey CrashKiddie. Fruits Basket is licensed. Don't download it. Buy it or rent it.

I can't believe no one has mentionned Fushigi Yugi yet. Fruits Basket might have a little too much comedy in it.

You're 100% right there. FB is very cheap to buy (6ep/dvd) and worth every penny. Gosh, I wish there was more then 26 episodes. The story just started to develop in the past 5-6 episodes |

I'll suggest Ayashi No Ceres...This serie is kinda weird... i dont know how to put it... the main plot involve basically romance and vengeance i'll say, which make it a really nice contrast... but how the story evolve, is somehow unpredictible...if you've watched Fushigi Yugi...this is made by the same director
I love this Serie, the contents, the musics and like i said all the contast...but this serie somehow disturb me in many ways...i'll let you see and judge it for yourself |

I'm glad someone mentioned Ayashi no Ceres. Great show.
You could also try Hoshi no Koe (ADV). It's certainly dramatic enough. It's a short OVA, so I don't know if it's what you're looking for, but there is some sadness to it, and the girl is fairly cute. It's about a girl that is sent away to war in space, and how she and her boyfriend back at home try vainly to keep in touch, even though their e-mails take months to reach one another. There's not much else in the vein of Full Moon wo Sagashite though, in terms of storyline. However, if you want a sad story and plenty of drama, you could also check out Saikano, which is being released by Viz. It doesn't have *any* of the cuteness and hope that Full Moon has, but it's a very touching and tragic story. Once again, a war story about a boy's girlfriend that is changed into the Ultimate Weapon, and her struggle to remember what it means to be human. |
