Rave Master 33 was originally planned for a May release, but it's not on Tokyopop's website and hasn't been solicited through Diamond. I looked through the encyclopedia here and did some websearching, but found nothing. Has the delay been officially announced anywhere? I'm hoping it's not become the victim of cuts - there are only three volumes left!

Unfortunately, it's probably because of cuts. I don't think they ever gave out an official list of all the titles they cut, but they just mysteriously stopped releasing them. One of my favorite tokyopop titles, 'Life', was victim to this so I feel your pain. If you really want to finish the story, I suggest you just read scans and buy the volumes when they release them (if they do) or if another company picks it up.
edit: some more info here, but nothing about rave master in particular, http://manga.about.com/b/2008/10/14/tokyopop-clarifies-manga-schedule-cuts-spotlights-new-titles.htm

You're not talking about the Keiko Suenaga title are you? That one does hurt, as it is one of my favorite series as well. While I don't read it in English, I try to keep up tabs with it as much as possible in Japanese. My condolences.

I hope they finish it. Rave Master is supposed to be one of their more popular titles.
Then again, I wouldn't put it past them. It's been over a year and they still haven't released the last volume of Gatcha Gacha.

Hugely underrated series in my opinion, it deserves a larger fanbase.

When I first started reading it, I was staying at a college dorm and there were 12 volumes of it there that belonged to somebody else. He wasn't there at the time, so I helped myself to trying it out. After I put down the first book I immediately picked up the second one. I couldn't believe how hooked I was on the series, and in a two hour span I had finished reading the 12 volumes that were there. An immensely suspenseful but superb series.

Yeah, I don't remember putting down a single volume of it when I wasn't dying to read the next one, very good series. I can't even find scans for it, I bought the tokyopop volumes and would gladly keep buying them if they kept releasing them, but since they aren't I tried resorting to scans. All I found was volumes 1-3 and a random chapter from volume 11 :/

Oh it's definitely an underrated series, it deserves more than what it's been given over here. It did get a J-drama over there, although I haven't seen it yet. But I think that if people were to take the time and actually read through this series, they'd be impressed. Such is not the case, as we have obviously seen, which is quite unfortunate.
