I have a small question: are there currently female authors working for the Shonen Jump magazine (the Japanese version of course) except Katsura Hoshino and Akira Amano? It's just that by the names you can't tell...
don't hesitate to mention past authors though

I don't think there any right now, at least among the established series. Maybe among the really new series.
Past female authors include Yumi Hotta, for example, who created "Hikaru no Go" with Takeshi Obata. (I wonder what she's thinking of Obata's current "Bakuman" with its bashing of female shonen authors and women in general.)
Kazu Hajime had some series in Weekly Jump; she's currently serialized in Jump SQ, the monthly sister magazine (still shonen).

mangas that are serialized in magazines that are targeted for both genders(well, those kind of magazines are also called shounen) are also called shounen as well.

i meant manga that are targeted to both genders are also called shonen not just the manga that are mainly targeted for males.
Maki Murakami is doing manga at seinen magazine with gay overtones.
The writer of Ichigo 100% in shonen jump is female.
