Well, I was one of the MANY people who ordering during the big FUNI sale last week, but I am curious on my order, that is, if anyone has had this happen before?
I love and trust Rightstuf but I'm wondering about their "quantity left" system. I ordered items from the bargain bin which did (and still do) show a large quantity left, along with a preorder. Now, I know they usually ship out what they have in and then ship the backordered/preordered stuff later when it comes out. Knowing that there is alot of items left to order, several days ago my status on shipping went to "backordered" and just got an email in today saying that it is backordered "due to unforeseen demand".
Did anyone else get this during the sale? Is the quantity wrong for the items I ordered? Or is it the preorder for some reason, which is holding it back.
The items in question:
*1 of Evangelion, Neon Genesis: 1.11 You Are (Not) Alone Blu-ray (Hyb)
*1 of RahXephon CD Soundtrack 1
* 1 of Slayers Season 1 DVD Set (Hyb) Uncut
* 1 of Slayers Season 2 DVD Set (Hyb) Uncut (Slayers Next)

In many cases, 'backordered' means 'it's not at our wherehouse, but we know a guy with a bunch of them in his wherehouse, and we'll order some in as soon as it's worth the shipping costs.'. The quanity listed often reflects the stock at this other wherehouse (which is why, on rare occasion, they cancel a bunch of orders for something becuase the other guy turned out not to have what he said he did.)
I wouldn't worry about it, TRSI is extremely good at filling all orders- you should get the item in due time.

Ah so that's how it works... I know I got Slayers on a super cheap deal, being in the bargain bin now, but was a little worried because I know they are discontinued and stores that I know, once flooded with them, either super-clearanced them, or sent it back to the retailer, with the seasons 1-3 set being the replacement (and I want them separate... Would look funny when you get Revolution and Evolution-R sets >_>)

You should go check your order on the site directly, my guess is that you would see all of these items allocated to you except the Eva, which is not out yet. Once the system pushes orders out again the order will be broken up and the in-stock items sent.
The backorder notices are generic and simply state that all of the items aren't completely available at the moment. It's something that we are looking to fix when we can replace that piece of software.
