I've finished the Tenjho Tenge anime, and I'd like to jump over to the manga to finish the Imperial Tournament arc (which isn't covered in the anime). Can anyone tell me what volume I'd need to start at?
The anime covers things like:
•Shin's death blow against Mitsuomi - and thus the 3 minute limit
•Aya running off with the Reiki
•Mitsuomi's father, and his attempt to turn Mitsuomi into the Ultimate Martial Artist by unleashing a Dragon's Eye crazed Shin (after the kidnapping and near-rape of both Maya and Shin's girlfriend
•Nagi achieving his family's transformation, and subsequently tracking down his mother - and Mitsuomi's father - for training
•The founding of the "first" Juuken club by Shin, Maya, Mitsuomi & Bunshichi just in time for that year's tournament
However, I haven't seen things like:
•Who actually killed Shin, or why
•Aya get into a serious fight using both Reiki and Dragon's Eye
•Any fights by the "second" Juuken club - with Maya, Aya, Nagi, Bob, and the little brother in their tournament
•Much exposition on what Nagi's transformation can do, or even what it is
•What happened to break Mitsuomi and Maya up
Given that, what volume should I start with, or is it even possible to make the leap from anime to manga?

Heya, don't know if you are still lost on this one, but I'll try to help. Firstly, it doesn't sound you watched all of the anime because some of your questions are answered by the end.
So watch all 24 eps, then watch the first episode of the two part OVA, don't watch the second, it's a fake ending to the series.
the manga continues from here at volume 9. but At this part, ALOT happens before the imperial tournament, about 3 major arcs and a backstory arc ontop of those.
Volume 16 is the official start of the imperial tournament and it goes all the way to the final volume 22, but if you start here, you will have missed too much to understand it.
