Hey guys, I always have a question regarding a scernio I have for a while, so I wanted to ask you guys' imput on the matter:

Well, I collect Manga translated into English in US. However, sometimes I felt some of the manga translated in here are pretty much crap (especially one specific company (I ain't naming names) that bombed out a series (anime and manga wise) so bad that the parent company refuse to release sound files for effect in the anime). So I decided to start purchasing and importing Chinese version of said manga.

My question is, do you guys actually this is well...morally correct? To me, I just felt I am still supporting the artist and doing so legally, and I will stop importing once the manga reach the level that the Chinese version have.

(BTW: if you want to find out what series I am talking about, just think of the series that started every ricers' and their dream of "drifting" their cars on roads)

You don't have to import them by yourself. If you live in an area with enough Chinese population (me in Southern CA) you could buy or rent legal manga in Chinese (mostly from Taiwan). For me, it's much easier to read manga in Chinese (over 20 years, after all), and many titles with heavy cultural elements are very difficult to translate into English but much easier with Chinese.

Speaking about the series in your post...something about bean curd? Wink

Uh... I don't think there's anything wrong whatsoever with importing the Chinese releases.

You certainly don't have to support/buy something that you think is crap, especially if there's a better alternative available.
