Even though this thread is quite similar, it covers the manga, not the anime; so I'm taking the liberty of posting these questions here in the "Anime" section as I haven't been able to locate any posts dealing with this PARTICULAR SUBJECT.
spoiler[So when Tenma sees (and is he hallucinating? or dreaming?) the Twins's Mother being with two girls while being confronted by Klaus Poppe, I didn't know who the other girl was; assuming that one of them was Nina Fortner, then who was the other girl?.] Now, I missed -- I think -- four episodes  ; so it's possible that I missed the explanation. spoiler[The second girl couldn't possibly be Johan, could it? But if so, then why would he have been dressed up as a girl?  ]

Yes, that was Johan. I guess their mother was trying to disguise them though apparently it didn't work.
