because its just wierd with a drastic change in style and everything. not only that, but i just watched the gekiganger ova thats supposed to take place sometime after the series but before the movie. thing is, during the movie, the characters mention that they haven't seen each other since the end of the series right? so if thats true, then when does the gekiganger 3 ova take place? all they say in the ova is sometime after the war.

Must fans would rather it not be, that's all I know...
And the Gekigangar OVA is maybe a few months after Episode #26. I'm still waiting for ADV to License it.

It's not likely that ADV will license the Gekiganger OVA. They'd probably prefer to license something that would sell. If they were going to do it, they would have done it already and probably would have tossed it in as an extra on the movie DVD or something.

I thought that the Gekigangar OVA was actually longer than the Movie...

As I understand it, the Nadesico timeline is supposed to go like this:
TV Series -> Gekiganger OVA -> Video Game -> Movie
The Gekiganger OVA isn't really required. There's only one plot point worthy of note, and it's something everyone had already guessed at anyway.
It's the Nadesico Dreamcast game that bridges the time between the events of the TV Series and the movie. That's why the Nadesico movie feels like it drops you in the middle of a lot of stuff that you don't understand the reason for.
Sucks that it never made it over here, but it's not like many anime games do.

I have that game somewhere. I played it all the way though and I rather enjoyed, but not as much as Macross Plus game. Anyhoot, I didn't know that it bridged the TV Series to the Movie, mostly do to my lack of knowledge of Japanese. But hey, thanks for the info.
