Who the hell designed the Summer Wars skin? When the site loaded, my eyes went all fuzzy and I got a mild headache due to the massive use of WHITE BACKGROUNDS. Also, the white made reading the site harder as well because the background of the article space and the forums are a light color and almost seemed to blend into the skin, making navigation hard.
Yes, I did revert the skin (to ANN 2010) to compensate, but seriously ANN, please design skins that don't (at least) make navigation of the site hard to do. |

Sounds like your problem, buddy. I don't see a problem with it at all, and I think it's awesome.
Then again, that's to be expected of me, since I've got Summer Wars pre-ordred and I'm excited as hell for it. |

How do you manage on all the websites out there that have white backgrounds ? Honestly, I'm confused. But if there is something peculiar about our skin that bothered you that doesn't exist on the above examples, I'll see what I can do about avoiding it in the future. -t |

I don't know, but I also had the same issue but to a lesser degree. So I also had to change it.
To me it seemed a bit brighter than the default white you see around the web (anything brighter than the default white is definitely bad). Now, I could be imagining things, but did whoever made it perchange gave the white more brightness to enhance the contrast? |

Nope, that's not possible. That standard white (255,255,255 or #ffffff) is as white and bright as you can get. It's the exact same white at Google as it was on this skin. I think perhaps in the forum it felt particularly bright because of the contrast with the grey forum background. -t |
