Not that this wasn't a given but still yay! As a fan of the manga I really enjoyed this anime's first season and the execution of the rakugo routines in motion and sound with clever reframings and extensions of the manga (I could gush all day about the perfect balance they got for the voice actors to find a balance between anime voice and rakugo voice and reflect the nuances between each one and their level, and Akane's voice actress's flexibility with all the ways she said Jugemu's name in different contexts), so I can't wait for the next arcs.

Not surprised, but still excellent news! I greatly enjoyed the first season—completely agree with justsomeaccount on the voices!

Unfortunately for me combining teenage angst, a hot protagonist and rakugo didn't work. But I am glad for its fans who wanted more.

I could have sworn we were getting 24 episodes worth of content for this season. Shame I got that wrong, but at only a half year gap between halves it's closer enough I suppose.

A reliable “leaker” on Twitter claimed it would be a split-cour show; I’m inclined to believe it. I think the studio is only calling the next batch “season two” because it’ll be gone for two seasons instead of just one.

Ok, that makes sense. I think Eminence in Shadow had a 6 month gap between its seasons, so it isn't as if this is the first time this sort of "split" has been done. Personally I'd count a 6 month gap as one "season" since the production would have ordered all the episodes at once since you can't get that sort of turn around otherwise.

Great news. Hopefully season 3 is 6 months after that =D
