I need peace of mind really. HxH is easily one of my favorite series ever. I decided as long as they continue the anime I will not read the manga since everyone tells me the anime stays very true to the manga and there are no fillers.
Lately though, last few months that is, a rumor has surfaced throughout all of mIRC anime related channels, when Hunter x Hunter is mentioned, everyone says that HxH TV2 is coming out some time soon. I'm confused by this since they decided to switch from TV to OVA, wondering if they would really switch back to TV. Does anyone know where these rumors were founded, what makes people convinced of their legitamacy and of course, if there is any truth in this rumor? Any answers at all would be much appreciated. Thank you. |

I can't say for sure but I highly doubt it. The current manga arc isn't any longer than Greed Island (from which they made a total of 12 OVAs), it isn't over yet, and the mangaka certainly isn't blazing through the series, so I doubt they could make more than a 12 ep series, 26 at the most from it. They'd be better off just keeping with the "6 OVAs every year or two" format that's been working for them so far.
Either way, it's nothing to panic over, I mean, whatever tv series they did produce would come chronologically after any of the existing material. |
