Awesome! I loved the manga, I should track down the first film....
Although, it is pretty funny to see this epic trailer for a film like this and then see the credits roll by with mentions of shows like Precure, DBZ, and Pokemon

Just like the first movie, this has Tezuka's name attached to it, but it doesn't have his style or humor.

For me, that sounds like an interesting direction. The Tezuka style in my opinion has been done to death, and if they want a new angle, so be it. It may flop. Who knows. I didn't even hear about the first Buddha film, so maybe it isn't quite there yet. Still, at least the creators are adding their own influences and making something that won't be called a shameless knockoff. |
