i think the current arc qualifies as something more serious

as for the volume, i agree that its a very nothing volume, each chapter is just a cliche and there isnt any story advance in any way, which is a shame cause i like the series on the whole but this volume was pretty weak, volumes further down the line are far more read-worthy material

Actually,I enjoyed a lot of "Rosario + Vampire." As for the Chinese monster characters,I'm not Chinese or Chinese-American so I'm not going to comment too much on that. To me,much of "Rosario + Vampire" is very good. I like Tsukune and the girls. I wish it could have been done more tastefully,but hey what are you going to do?
Overall,Season II is going very well. It's kind of enjoyable and does what it does well. I don't have very many complaints.

I for one agreed. I liked this Vol. Sure it has lost it's flavour, but it's still funny. and they definitely made the twist of the series by having another male as one of Tsukine's suitors. Though that was eclisped by the ending which i wont spoil.

if this is signs of good things to come i cant wait. too bad the anime didn't continue afterwards.
