Please bear with me on the details as it's been years since I've read it but the recent production of Jigoku Shoujo has brought it up.
1) The manga was created before 2000 2) It was rather short, only consisting of approximately 2 volumes (6 - 12 Chapters I believe) 3) Each chapter (Except for 2 Part Chapters) each involves a new story. 4) The manga is about when a character is murdered a holds a grudge, there are brought to a place where they can chose one of the 3 following options: 1) To move onto the path of heaven, 2) To become a ghost and walk the plain of the Earth forever, or 3) To kill someone and be sent to Hell. The person who gives them these options is a girl (approximately 18 or so by appearance). 5) spoiler[In one story, a schoolgirl is killed by someone who she believed to be her best friend and near the end, she's about to kill her by drowning her in the bath tub but at the last moment, she decides not to and instead, decides to walk to the path of heaven. 6) In another story, a woman is killed by her boyfriend and at the end, she finds out that it was him and that he was cheating with her and so, she kills him while the two are in a love hotel. 7) Another story involves a janitor who decides to become a ghost and stay with the pigeions he's been taking care of. 8) In the final story, the girl who acts like the grim reaper is given the set of options as she is getting replaced and sadly, I can't remember what she decides on...] If anyone can post any clues on what the heck this manga is called, I will be eternally grateful as it has been a real thorn in my side trying to remember my first horror manga... |
