From CNN http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/TV/12/19/television.startrek.reut/index.html

I wonder how that is going to effect the Anime block? Shocked.

The Trekie side of me is happy that TOS is back on TV, too bad I have the DVDs for it. Confused

Outside of that, X-Play, Call for Help (it's back on), and Attack of the Show (Pretty much Screen Savers, minus Leo and Pat.) is the only things left from the network.

But as far as the anime block, I don't think it's going to effect it a whole lot. They might run it later or move it up, but chaces are they'll BWB in the program lineup.

Well it at least it has a tech theme unlike the Man Show.

I hope it doesnt affect the anime block. It looks like Cromartie High is coming to G4, so theres a ray of hope there. that's really up to who is still watching the anime and G4's choice of anime.

Personally a censored version of Elfen Lied would be the wisest. Nothing stirs publicity and curiosity like controversy.

btw... Braniac rulz Very Happy

One of the only things greater than my hatred of G4 is my love of Cromartie High. Though I still feel dirty actually having to tune in to that awful hole of a channel just to see it. Anime cry

Yeah, it airs pretty early in the morning (The last time I check.) so I don't know why they don't keep airing it. It's not like it's live airing.

I tuned in to watch Colorful the other night and went for the DVD instead. They cut out the first "pole" skit. But atleast they kept the 50 foot teenager in.

Ouch Nagisa, why so hard on the G4? I mean the channel does feature a lot of crap but has air some good anime, and it does has the original man show.

Nagisa, if I remember, is bitter over ads. Me, outside being 50% bitter, only liked the few I already listed, to include Icons, BWB, and the Man Show. But the award show (To be fair, all video game award shows.), Video Game Vixens Awards, Fastline (Didn't that show get canned for low ratings when it was on Fox?), and, yeah, tons of ads. Ads I can deal with, but crappy specials and rejects from networks is abit hard.

Cromartie High is also on Anime Network and Anime Network On Demand. Plus you can always buy the DVDs.

No, I'm bitter that my all-time favourite TV channel was brutally and systematically torn apart by Comcast to try and force their failure of a gaming network to succeed. And it's still a failure and still features the same ignorant, lame, trying-too-hard-to-be-"hip" tools hosting the same godawful shows.

I want my TechTV, dammit!

I'm currently waiting for ADV to put the series out in a thinpack box set, actually. Hoping it comes sooner than later.

Yea I understand where you are coming from with the ads, (I have a homemade tivo on my computer so I don't have to worry about commerical as much anymore, unless I am watching something live) and about any of the videogame awards shows, those are the most (Insert BAD BAD WORD) display I have ever witness. But overall I have to be fair to G4 since I was introduce to a lot of good anime from anime unleashed.

Plus the X-Play hosts are very vocal about thier hate for FullMetal Alchemist. But G4's award show is shakespearean compared to Spike TV's VGA show.

But the channel is making improvements. Gotta give em credit for at least trying.

Wrong. Much like myself, they hate the games. They don't review anime series. Just the games, which are crap. Yeah, they like poke fun of Al and aporn, but that's what they do.

Then you haven't been very observant. Hate is too strong a term, but FMA jokes at the expense of its fan following are often (though they have layed off on them lately).

They made several cracks in unrelated reviews about watching FMA. I remember when some guy in a game shot a TV and Sessler said FMA must have been on. They have made similiar cracks here and there about the show and its fans quite a few times. I cant really prove it, maybe its in my head..but can someone else back me up on dat?

And the games were not that bad. They're no God of War or Resident Evil 4, but they were enjoyable. I actually like the 1st game better though...better story with a worthwhile ending (uncommon in TV show based games).
