A very good read! I find it interesting that even with the recent success of Spirited Away, the idea of "cartoons for adults" seems to be a strange concept for most of the populace.

Yes I also find it odd, that people cant accept that some adults, such as myself enjoy adult cartoons, allthough I dont considre anime to be cartoons, anime characters can do everything real actors can not. |

Bleed gallons of blood-lone wolf and cub(and plenty of others)
exude psychic powers-X-men(and plenty of others) suddenly turn small and cute-You got me there Yes Im aware anime characters can generally defy the laws of physics but I got the impression Dark Nero was implying anime characters could do things that made them more screen worthy than real actors. |

There's this new-fangled thing called Special Effects. They can make real live people do just about anything nowadays. |

My Rock-n-Roll opinion of this article is as follows:
Shinichiro Watanabe watched Taxi Driver when he was a kid? No wonder Cowboy Bebop is as awesome as it is. I suggest a government mandate require 12-year olds to view Scorcese's film in order to stimulate their creativity. Hey, it worked for Watanabe. |

At nickelodeon where cartoons are for kids and childrens entertainment.
And animation is not for adults. Parents always look to nickelodeon for protection from profanity and nickelodeon keeps children from watching harmful programming that effects their kids. |

Why do you keep on editing your post and why are you talking about nickelodeon, your post makes it sound like your replying to something someone else said and yet none of the other posts correspond with yours.

Its really annoying to here about parents that preview everything that there kids are going to watch and edit them with vhs. I can understand this if there younger than 8 to 10, but after that, its should be parents explanation time for the real world. Parents either shelter to much or not at all. parents need to let there kids know about whats going on and maintain a knowledgeable idea of what there doing so they can correct there kids if they make mistakes. Well thats just my opinion.
Cartoons... Anime.... The content does make the difference. |
