Okay, I know in Japan, an abundance of anime are turned into something made for the PS2, Xbox, Gamecube, etc... and we all know that we barely even get any of these games, and if you're lucky enough to have a chip for these consoles (or something), then I will send some envy towards your way. Anime smile + sweatdrop

Anyway, back to what I was going to say, what anime series would you love to see be turned into a game? And, also, what game from an anime have you enjoyed? (Or, are excited about being released.) Or is there a game you would adore to have released here? This idea just came from me out of the blue, and it gets you thinking a bit. I'm terribly sorry if this thread has been made once before, but, from my time on being on ANN, I haven't seen any.

But, as for a game I would love to see Wolf's Rain be turned into one. People may disagree with me, but I find it to be an interesting concept to play as a wolf/human, don't you? Think of the environments you could play in and the emotions you would deal with (such as spoiler[the ending when every one dies]) and think of the replay value to play the game once you've beaten it to truely understand what the series was about (ofcourse, they could change it up a bit or spoiler[maybe make a bit of a sequel to the ending which left many mind-boggled because it seemed to start all over.])

Many of you probably would think this to be a weird game, but it just seems very appealing to me.

Now, for games I'm excited for because of their upcoming release dates in the near future would have to be Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop. Hopefully they don't turn out to be so much of a let down as what the Fullmetal Alchemist games were (it took me 9 hours to beat the 2nd one, that's it! Crying or Very sad )

Now what are your thoughts on a good release? Surprised

Oh! Oh! I want Hello Kitty to be turned into a game!!! Yeah! Where you, as the player, are Hello Kitty and you're running around chasing mice! Each level would require you to catch a certain number of mice. Obviously, each level would increase in difficulty. Each time you pass a level, you get to choose a different coloured bow for Hello Kitty's... hmm... hair? Yeah, that'd be awesome! Cool

They should make an "X" vs. "S-Cry-Ed" video game - A fighting game along the lines of DOAIII, where you can play as any of the characters with cool abilities. Ninja Scroll (the series) would also be a good series to throw into that mix.

IMO, I would say a good game for an anime would be an Outlaw Star thing to it. I would love to use a grabbler fighting game while also having on land fights with good boss battles. That if they use the actually storyline from the show of trying to get to the Galatic Layline, it could turn into something good but even if they didn't I think it has a chance of being good. But I would diffenetly want online multiplayer play. But this of course that is if it's done right.

From What I've seen there haven't been good anime based games. Gits both the ps2 and ps games stunk (1st one I couldn't stand the controls and the ps2 one I just really didn't get into it). The Full Alchemist games I thought were lame just because of the gameplay. Robotech Invasion stunk because it didn't have much going. Robotech: Battlecry did alright as far as gameplay and story goes but I felt that it's too hard to get all the medals and extras(I've beated it on hard over 25 times and still haven't gotten them all). That and I thought it was at times too long while Invasion was too short.
Maybe I'm just too picky with video games.

I hear there's a cowboy bebop game in the making. But of course that's only a rumor I heard but if it's true I hope they do it well.

Actually, the rumor is true, here's the official Japanese Bandai website for it Anime smile. http://www.bandaigames.channel.or.jp/list/ps2_cowboy/index.html

Check it out, it seems well done from what I've seen. Very Happy

Well, for cell-shading graphics it doesn't seem to bad. I don't like the idea of health bar for enemies though. I guess I'm more for a realistic feel. Not nessecarily instant kill but like if I were to hit someone in the shoulder it would hurt them/not kill but if I were to hit them in the head that should be instant kill. But it seems alright but time can only tell when or if(which I'm pretty darn positive will) the game is released in U.S then I can play it and make judgement but looks like a game I will at least give a shot and buy and not wait for review by techtv or other sources. But graphically seems good. I'm normally not one for cell-shading. Actually only cell-shading i liked was in the Robotech:Battlecry (and me liking robotech had nothing to do with my judgement on it for people who think that).

I'm hoping it turns out well, myself. If you were to go to Gamestop.com or Walmart.com, you can see that the Cowboy Bebop game is scheduled to be released in March, so it is coming out here (which is nice.) Hopefully, it lives up to my expectations (and not an easy game to beat because I like challenges.) I've been waiting for this game for almost 2 years now Anime dazed. I literally was giggle happy when I saw the first trailer to it.

Heh heh, all of my favorite anime series are already games or were based on games. Yep, and I've imported all of them. Most of my favorite anime series are really popular in Japan so they're naturally made into games. My favorite anime series: Galaxy Angel, Nurse Witch Komugi, Mai Hime, Da Capo, and Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien; They all have games. Genshiken is also one of my favorites but it would be very wierd to make a video game based off of it.

Personally, i might enjoy a Rurouni Kenshin 2-D fighter done by ARC System works (developers behind the Guilty Gear series). They seem to handle 2-D weapon fighters very well and the fighting Kenshin in the series lends itself well to this type of game. Unfortunately, a game of this ilk typically doesnt do much justice to the kind of intricate and beautiful story telling that made most of us fall in love with Kenshin.

Now, I know I am being pickie when I say I hate 2d fighter games. I find them very annoying and useless to the the graphics today. I like fighter games but only 3d and I still like the old 2d fighter games and play them but I can't stand them. Only 2d games I think go well is if you make like an RPG senerio. But fighter-wise give me 3d anyday.

By 2D fighting games do you mean fighting games with 2D character sprites and graphics or do you mean fighting games that are side scrolling where you can only move left and right as opposed to left, right, forwards, and backwards?

Street Fighter! It would make a great 2D fighter and ........ but seriously I think Street Fighter should be made into an Adventure story game. Personally I don´t like 3D fighters that much but I love 2D fighters unlike Remember Love. Street Fighter should be made like what Mortal Kombat did with Shoalin Monks. I´d like to see more on the Akuma, Ryu meeting because the most recent anime movie wasnt enough of a fix.

Is it too much to ask for an F'ing Hunter X Hunter: Greed Island MMORPG? Or at the very least a regular RPG. That game is just ready made right from the show.

I'd also love to see games based on Chaotic Rune (card battling, but with real monsters that are super violent, Yugioh for adults), MAR (the lame GBA game totally doesn't count), and Negima (All about party management).

So far no anime liscense can beat the Naruto games. What little I played of the PS2 version didn't impress me, but the GC 2-4 games, the GBA RPG, and the GBA sidescroller 2 and 3 were great.

I'd love a Magic Kaitou game. A game like MGS or Thief, where you play Kaitou KID, stealin' stuff. Maybe even in a big ciy like GTA, so you can make your own escape routes with your KID paraglider ^^

Or...a City Hunter game. A shooter, but with mokkori babes and support characters as Saeko & Umibôzu. Maybe with a system to err... fondle mokkori babes for extra HP, but do it too long/much, and Kaori hits you with her extra dimensional hammer and takes a LOT of HP ^_~;

they need to make more games with characters from shows/movies. Even if it's not an entire game based around the story and characters, putting them up against one another would be really cool....
