This was posted over at... a place that must be named namless. Regardless, this toy makes me go both wtf inside, and at the same time, have to wonder how in god's name did a product like this pass quality check or whatever. I rarely see any good anime toylines produced by american companies anymore though... I won't even get into the "Zolo" Swords. You know, speaking of Mattel, anyone remember the Sailor Barbies? |

*Insert joke about big hands.* This doesn't fair well with the Naruto line of toys coming. Sakura with a gaint forehead.

Well then. I'm glad I know how to get my hands on the Japanese merchandise, since even the ugliest gachapon One Piece figures you find there are loads better than "Power Punch Luffy" here. Ataru, the Naruto line of toys may be better than expected, as I'm fairly sure that ShoPro/Viz did not farm it out to Mattel. ~Shadrach Anki |

que funeral march music... animenewsnetwork.com/pressrelease.php?id=1362 but seriously...the One Piece figures are not all as bad as this one. If you go to the website thats stated on the pic..the rest are there. The one pic here is just the worst out of the bunch. There is another Luffy figure that looks more reasonable (with stretching action!). I'm curious as too how the kick action on Sanji works. Mattel has done some good figures too (He-man, and Ninja Barbie (Elektra). It all depends on the sculpter and designers that are assigned. I have high hopes for Naruto. |

What's wrong with that Luffy? I think it's kinda cool. If you put his arms forward it creates a kind of forced perspective. It's certainly not the "default" Luffy of course, but I've seen plenty worse action figures.

I haven't seen One Piece. Is Luffy not supposed to look like this? I don't see a problem with it. Seems like a pretty normal action figure to me.
Edit: I just looked up Luffy on Google... Luffy's the main character... yes I've seen him and know how he looks, he's the guy with the straw hat right?... I could seriously not tell that was him. That is how bad this figure was done. I'm not joking. |

Thats just scary man. Luffy looks like he's on steroids and some other bad drug. Just look at those eyes and tell me he isn't using. It does look funny though, thanks for the laugh. Peace out.

Word! i cant wait for Naruto figures: Spinning attack Neji, Sand Missle Gaara, 1000 years of death action Kakashi, Kaku with stupid "mirror' accesories, Water dragon squirting Zabuza, Fire missle Sasuke, etc.. |
