Think again there buddy. Alchemy is a science that has an effect on society.

There are fantasy stories where magic is treated in a rigorous systematical manner akin to science. That doesn't mean such stories are counted as science fiction. Having said that, it does appear FMA has plenty of other SFnal elements that could qualify it for being listed as science fiction.

Yup, for example Automail. Though it's probably linked to alchemy in some way, for the most part it's a sci-fi element.
