I was revisiting my old Ranma 1/2 manga collection and remembered a something that I've always wanted to find out. Does anyone have a definitive list of the events 10 years prior to the beginning Ranma 1/2? This would probably better suit the manga forum. I placed in the anime forum because Kurumi and Natsume are anime-only characters.
My list so far (spoiler tags just in case): spoiler[ Happosai meets Kurumi and Natsume Genma and Soun ditch Happosai Akane first visits Ryugenzawa Mrs. Tendo dies Ranma meets Ukyou Ranma & Ukyou tangle with the Gambling King Ranma ruins Ukyou's sauce ] There's probably a ton of them that I am missing since I only went up to v. 13 of the manga, and only season one plus a few random episodes of the anime. |

I only read volume 1 and I'm about to read volume 2. Is there a prequel or something?

No. It's just a running joke in the series that a lot of important things that are told in flashback happened ten years ago.
Crap! I forgot one: spoiler[Ranma and Genma go on training trip.] I'm not really sure if that one needs spoiler tags, but what the hell. |

I have a few additions for you, and for the sake of other i will use spoiler tags. these are in no particular order
spoiler[Soun and Genma meet the chardin Family Vol 15. Genma leaves his wife with ranma Vol 20. Soun and Genma plan Akane and Ranma's wedding, pretty much. ] |
