Hello all, its that time of the year! Summer when i have nothing to do but watch anime... and work at some fast food place of course. Alas... i was unable to find a good list of mecha anime.

It seems to me that it has been quite long since i've seen a good series. So if anyone could help make up a list of must much/ and must buy/ must see. Or anything that really mite just be good. it'd be great to comment and leave me a few mentions

Thank you in advanced
Your friendly neihbor hood baka...

Well, what kind of series have you seen so far? If you're a fan of mecha then presumably you've seen a fair amount of it already.

If you dont mind old art style and animation, give Zeta Gundam a shot. If you want something more recent, try out 08th team. There are two more well received gundam titles.

If you liked evanelion, try Raxephon (SP?).

Unfortunately there hasn't been really good mecha shows recently.

List are evil, trying linking to your seen anime page next time,

Your last three post are all FMP anime, when it's finally released over here I sugguest that you take a chance on the new FMP Second raid. According to the rating it is the most enjoyed out of all the animes.
Till next time,

Delta Kiral

you have to see FMP: The second raid, The second Season to FMP obviously. Eureka 7 is a good show about a boy who was taken from home and now travels with ex military unit/mercenaries. Great story and character developement. Rahxephon is another mecha show and movie. I only saw the movie though.

[ot] Then you must have been as utterly confused as I was.

Ummmm I recommend Neo Ranga. Although it's more about people than giant mecha, I think the mecha designs are really freakin cool.

Don't bother with the movie unless you have seen the series you cheap yourself out of the better part of the show. Although watching the movies is suppose to help explain something in show better so perhaps it might be better to watch the movie first. Either way your going to be a little confused about everything.

personally i hope the second raid Is alot better than the first season of full metal panic..

The first season of Fmp.. sucked... alot.. In my opinion. I just found that the characters were really akward.. and just.. stupid...

But hopefully it is better!

My brother mentioned a sereis called macross.. how is that.

And what about rahexphon makes it good? is it as confusing as the ending as eva.

Its a good thing that i fell asleep about halfway through it then. Very Happy I was planning on getting the series soon, and then watching the movie afterwards.

I agree macross does mecha like no one else, and to be honest when someone mentions the word mecha anime i think instantly of the Macross series'. My favourite being Macross plus which is simpley amazing, but if thats not you kinda thing they try Robotech haha its full of laughs from the 70's.

You need a good UC Gundam Fix.

I'd suggest most of the UC stuff from MSG to Char's Counterattack. Avoid 0080: War in the Pocket if you really want alot of Mech action, as the story has very little mech action.
