Quick question: Are Be@rbricks compatible with standard LEGO sets?

So, a person is basically paying almost $300 for an almost 28 inch Lego-type toy? How ambitious is this?

Hmmmm....I would have preferred a Kubrick. It just looks too odd.

What would possess someone to want to buy that?! It looks like a rejected Lego figure. I've never heard of Be@rbrick but this looks extremely ugly. I hope Lego doesn't jump on the "Attack on Titan" bandwagon and make something like that. And if they did, please tell me that it's a Japan-only product and not something that's going to come here.

I assume if you had one, you would name him Stanley. |

I own the big one so that reminds me of 'Stretch Armstrong'. But why Stanley? LOL!! I doubt that would be the first thing that would come to mind with first impressions. ![]() |

I know you're joking, but the Kubrick toy line (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kubrick_(toy)) was actually named in honor of Stanley Kubrick and the logo is supposed to look like the one from A Clockwork Orange. Be@rbricks spun off of that line. As hard as it is to believe at that price, the Be@rbrick 1000% series is very, very popular with collectors. They released nine of them in 2014 and already have five lined up for this year. And no, they aren't compatible with LEGO bricks, they aren't brick toys in that sense.
Don't think they don't know that. ![]() Emerje |
