You can't get it until your cable company picks up the channel.
Or you could always move to a city that has it....

How do you get tan? Spend a lot of time in the sun, or a tanning salon...
The Anime "Network" is a Video-on-Demand service only available in selected areas for now. I am honestly very skeptical that it will last, unless it either goes super premium or pay-par-view, since, at some point, they'll want to make a profit somehow.

who thinks this station is gonna go under? i mean they have all this programming, and barely any viewers. not to mention when it is spread nationwide it will no doubt turn into a pay channel, and on top of that all they show is stuff from ADV's library of titles. reminds me of The Sega Channel back in the old days.

SEGA created the first console Internet service several years ago. With an adapter you could tuen to the Sega channel to download and play games, some of which were muliplayer. Though most were just demos.
TAN is still delevoping. TCN wasn't in all markets when it started. It makes sense that TAN would do the same. Give it a few years. ADV is.

At AX, ADV said that they are workingon mkaing deals with the other anime companies to show their titles also. While this is currently an ADV only channel, I expect them to start showing titles like Escaflowne, Gatekeepers, and other popular shows the that the other companies own.

The technical prerequisite for The Anime Network is digital cable with video-on-demand capabilities enabled. Then the cable operators have to cut the deals with the network. I know TAN is available in Phila. and NYC but beyond that, I'm not sure. Most cable subscribers can't get it. Even with digital cable, there are only so many channels available, so cablers are going to go with the programmers that offer the best combination of viewer drawing power and incentives for carriage. I don't know how TAN would stack up in comparison to other programmers seeking carriage on a system. Although we are anime lovers, let's face it, the ratings for a hit anime series pale to insignificance against the ratings for a hit mainstream TV series. (^_*)

All cable stations start out small and grow from there. Back in the very early 80's MTV was like that too, and the best way to get it spread in the early days if for people to call the cable company and say they want it. If you and all your friends call and request it (if you got lotsa friends) then the cable company may take a look at it. If you have satellite I would imgine the chances are better though since some satelite services tend to service pretty much anywhere you live. Having lived in a small rural town for sometime now I've known many people who have sat. since the cable company wont go too far away from the main portions of small towns, plus plenty of people in cities have them also so there is a wide range of people in many areas who have satellites. Just call your cable provider and say "I want my Anime Network" *chuckles to himself* FLCL...*runs
