I was wondering who else out there has seen Gilgamesh? For those who have what do you think of it? I personally really liked the series. It was a nice dark series with a lot of twists. I like how they gave each side valid points for their struggle and they made the characters from the Orga side seem very real. They had real issues to deal with and their interaction with each other was one of the series best points I think. If you watch all the extras, some of the best in a series period, you really see how far the studio at ADV went to capture that dark sullen mood. Anyways that's my 2 cents for the moment.

i've only seen up to ep. 6 but so far i like it. a nice dark gothic type anime. Can't wait to see the rest.

Volume one with the box set and the other remaining volumes of the series arrived last week, and I have them put on my "to watch" shelf up in our rather large attic. Can't say that I'll be getting around to watching the anime soon, but I expect to see the thing be the end of the year. I'll give my thoughts on it in a post in this thread if it's still active or more likely create a thread on it. Hopefully I'll enjoy it.

Having seen the entire series sometime ago I really like the "world" and the atmosphere of Gilgamesh. That said I think the series is really good from Volume 1-5 after 5 I had a hard time with the series. Meaning that there was a lot of information and sometimes Gilgamesh just kept asking new question and yet there never seems to be any answers......well not towwards the end....Gilgamesh ending discussion if ya care...
Otherwise I should say it worth a buy if your getting the dvds from the ADV sales (where each DVD is 5~7 dollars) but from the last sale there still wasn't an option of buying the final volumes.....at least not yet. Delta |
