A lot of people have already figured it out. "S AR" is Star, the background is an ocean, and the "01 0 1" is binary for 5. Put it all together and you get Star Ocean 5.... which I am extremely excited for. It better be current-gen exclusive. Don't gimp it for older systems.

YES. CALLED IT. They would have had absolutely no reason whatsoever to even mention Star Ocean in that recent survey if they weren't planning on creating a new one. |

It clearly is Space Invaders. The spacing is perfect and they do own the rights to an extent. Maybe Space Invaders Infinity 2 for the PS4?
Star Ocean? C'mon, no one gets that lucky this soon in the current generation. Probably a cellphone game if it is Star Ocean related... |

If this is Star Ocean 5, I don't think it'll be in a form you guys will like, or at the very least developed by tri-Ace (which might not be a bad thing). That studio is coming off of a three game 2014. For them to have something to show this soon means they'd have be massive or the game is really early. It's been a while, but I don't recall tri-Ace's games getting multi-year promotional cycles.
Think about it, if tri-Ace had gotten Square Enix to throw money at them again, would the owners have sold the studio earlier this year? |

if this was Star Ocean, then what could be the plot of it? i remember the series already ended. Last Hope was the prequel to everything and Till the End of Time being the last plot twist.

There are countless stories in any given planet at any given time at any part of the universe. YET, noone should get exited over anything considering this is SE. Most chances are this is some crappy BS game(mobile maybe) as always. So everyone calm your horses until the truth is reveled and have 0 EXPECTATIONS. And if some miracle happens that this is a new star ocean, proper new console game, let us all enjoy the miracle, but until then, noone should dare have any expectations. |
