This is echoing callbacks to the Pikachu Village episode from Kanto and the many episodes that involve shooting a movie. Can't wait for this to happen and I'm really excited for the episode after this special that involves the Poke Ball factory.

I think you might need to re-write the article, because there is no 5 acts. The one hour special is comprised of just 2 regular episodes of Pokemon XY.
The first episode, 880 is called "The Pokémon Sky Relay Challenge! Fly, Noibat!!" The second episode, 881 is "Pikachu Becomes a Star!? Its Movie Debut!!" 2ch and Serebii.net has confirmed this.

I think that Pokemon, to some degree, wouldn't be as popular as it has been without Pikachu. He is basically the mascot and the main Pokemon. If you go buy legendary in the definition of being "famous", then he is the most legendary of all Pokemon.
