39 episodes, eh? Pleasant surprise. I haven't read the manga, but I've heard good things about it, and it looks like they've got some good people working on the adaptation, so I'll be trying this one out. Also, it's based on a completed series, which is always welcome. Don't see enough of those.

How did y'all get July 3rd? When on crunchyroll it says "air date has yet to be confirmed for the 1st episode."

That's the Japanese air date.

And this from the article:

but it's still not up.

^Yeah, I've checked like 3 times so far today. Not sure what is up, but it happens sometimes. At least it's not Funimation. They haven't said anything about Gangsta, and they have yet to announce their last two shows... one of which is most likely Chaos Dragon which already aired in Japan as well... Confused Sad

i didn't know this is a remake of the 1992 ova series + the manga series is completed with 33 volumes long..

"thick eyebrows" not a lot of anime has this type of artstyle

now i'm looking forward to the next episode Smile

**Ushio-- is similar to the guy from Yozakura quartet-- regarding his hair while using his power

Ushio and Tora-- not your typical duo

500 years? reminded me of the Monkey King (who was also trapped for 500 years)..

if the anime ended with a cliff hanger i guess i can always continue on with the manga
