I recently picked up this whole series and I'm really enjoying it. I'd love to try out some of the recipes. Though still not sure where to get a consomme cube from (scratch that Amazon). Also, I am no where near as good at chopping veggies up. Yoshinaga always does such great slice of life.

Man, I am so behind on reading this! When it first came out, I eagerly read each volume, but it sounds like I stopped just before it got really good. That said, I'm still actively collecting each volume, not risking things going out of print, especially not Fumi Yoshinaga things.
Although when my friend read it at my place, I actually photocopied one of the recipes for her. When will Yoshinaga just make a straight up cook book? The woman absolutely needs to do it and it just feels like she's dying to do several (savory and sweet).

One of my favourite things to read and re-read. Come on volume 10!
