Oh neat Ponyta.
Makes it seem like Rum is the woman but the teaser at the end of the 19th movie had a male voice. Probably a fakeout.

This sounds soooo good! Are the movies part of canon? I always thought of it as nice fluff that's extra goodness, but this sounds very plot involved.

I've watched movies 1-18 and I don't believe any of them are canon. I'd expect that to continue. Perhaps if Gosho Aoyama ever gets more directly involved it could happen, but it doesn't appear that he's really working on this next one.

The male voice for the teaser at the end of movie 19 was Gin's voice.
