I was so stoked when L'arc~en~ciel finally released a live version of "Newspaper" for their 20th anniversary celebration.
Given how intense the fan reaction was, I'm surprised nobody has gone in for a re-release of this... I really think the only reason it performed so poorly the first time around was due to the early 2000s anime bubble bursting. I could definitely see this getting a following as a Crunchyroll stream, especially if they finally release the OVA -- I think it was being called something like Cookie's Newsroom: Big Money Scandal? (I was super hyped about it at the time.) Or maybe something for Discotek to look at?? (The CCG was awful, though. Don't re-release that.) |
