I think it's awesome that Kitaro is on the Best Graphic Novels of 2016 list! What an accomplishment for an old manga series that's quite obscure in the Anglosphere. I haven't bought any of the volumes yet, but I'm definitely planning on buying "The Birth of Kitaro" sometime in December.
