My thoughts exactly. I loved Shirobako for its great blend of loving-portrayal-meets-honest-criticism of the world of anime-creation. And this is such an unusual topic to choose I'm definitely intrigued! |

Shirobako is one of my favorite anime of the last few years, it was just pitch perfect in almost every way. So if this is part of the same thematic series, I'm all in! I guess I need to check out Hanasaku Iroha before this comes out!

PA Works being involved alone is enough reason to keep this on my radar.
And then I saw that staff list and I am freaking hyped now. Particularly the combination of the director and writer.

Thank god this is not an idol show. I was worried when I read the title.
But yes, this is actually pure P.A. Works and seems to combine their local advertisement anime (which are not bad at all, actually) with the scope of their TV works. Looking forward to this one. |

I'm mildly excited about this.
When I saw the character designer I was baffled because I wouldn't believe that the guy who designed Izetta could make the characters look this cute and with such strenght, because if there is someone I don't trust is him, and turns out Sekiguchi adapted them for animation, and if she is going to also be in charge of animation overall, then I do see a good future in this. Not particularly hyped by the writer nor the directors since I don't know their most important works, but they don't sound bad at least. |

I saw Hanasaku Iroha and loved it. I should watch Shirobako but I'm not one to marathon an entire anime. I just don't enjoy it as much because it wears me off.
I will definitely watch this one, though. |

The topic of micro-nations is actually 1 of those niche anime topics. They have sold on this. Also, this is 1 of several anime in the last few years where they are promoting local tourism. Other examples include prefectures making anime shorts about said prefecture.

Huh? Locodol is exactly the kind of anime Kadmos was talking about - "one of several anime where they are promoting local tourism". (Though Nagarekawa is a fictional place, rather than a real one.) |
