I'm getting Tokyo Mew Mew vibes out of this incarnation. The staff seems promising, and there's a new composer.

Mahou Tsukai was really good for my experience, I can look pass the costumes if the narrative is good but this will be post Heartcatch season all over again (and I still enjoyed Suite).

With Heartcatch and Go Princess being my favorite ones, this staff picked my attention.
I don't particularly like the designs, but that may change when I see them animated (as it did with Heartcatch for me). |

Love the red and purple Cure designs, but not crazy about the others. Still going to give it a chance though. The return of Go! Princess' headwriter and Heartcatch's character designer has me excited.
A new-to-the-franchise composer sounds interesting as well. I've only heard his work on My Hero Academia, but I was very impressed with it, so I'm looking forward to seeing what he'll create for Precure. |

I see I'm not the only one getting Heartcatch vibes (though I'm getting more of a Yes/Smile feeling as well, it's probably the five-member team).
Maho Girls was pretty good and I loved the characters, but I'll admit, the action was kind of disappointing. Though, such is the curse of coming after Go! Princess. |

HC's character designer was Umakoshi Yoshihiko. Ino Marie is just someone who did key animation for 3 HC episodes. But to be fair, she does seem to be one of Umakoshi's go-to animators, since she has worked on many shows where he was in charge of animation. |

Woooow, Yuuki Hayashi will be the new composer? Now this I gotta see!
Other than that, looks quite nice. Not a big fan of the characters designs though, but I'll have to see it animated to judge. |

No, I see it too. Especially in the civilian designs (like Cure Custard basically looks like Hazuki with braids & without glasses) Since Ojamajo Doremi is still a hit for Toei, I guess don't fix what isn't broke in this case. |

So essentially, this is the Precure adaptation of Tokyo Mew Mew.
That similarity is almost too much for me but who am I kidding, I'll be watching it. |

Well. I have no plans of watching this season. I mean, I am getting tired to watch the yearly precure series. I am watching this franchise scine 2016.
But if it has staff of heartcatch and Princess I can give an oportunity. |
