Can GUST please leave behind the moe and go back to their 2D games era? They have potential to make much better games.

You mean back to those 2D games starring moe alchemists back in the late 90s?

Well, I don't really know Gust's history all that much, but it would be nice if they did try something a little different just to see how it works out. Since they don't fall on the creepy side of moe, I'll continue to play their Atelier games regardless.

What you're seeing is them trying something different. Gust is one of the more adventurous studios out there, trying some genuinely unique approaches to game genres. The problem with trying something different is that a lot of the time, it's not going to work, and they don't have the budget to cover up their failings with production value, or the strong voice to generate an indie-style tonal punch.
