I checked ACEN's website and their convention is May 19th to 21st. I got my hopes up that I could attend.

I agree, this was a big score for Anime Midwest. Smile It's much smaller than A-Cen, and usually it ends up getting overshadowed by AX (most years, they happen the same weekend), so bigger-named guests usually don't get booked. I'm glad that this is the second year in a row that they've managed to book a studio guest (last year they had members of Studio TRIGGER at the con), and the studio behind one of the biggest anime hits of 2016.
