So what did everyone think?
As far as Prince of Tennis, it's standard shounen fare only this time the battleground is a tennis court. At first it was difficult hearing surprised explinations about tennis techniques, but really it's no different than explaining chakra manipulation or anything else in the same vein. If you can get behind the fact that they're playing tennis this show looks like it could shape up to be very entertaining.
Mar on the other hand is a little too zany for my taste. It took me some time to realize Spike Spencer was voicing Ginta since it's been a while since I have heard his voice, but that scream is unmistakeable. I have to admit when the show slowed down I enjoyed those individual scenes, but it moves too quickly for it's own good. The show is the perfect kid's fantasy though, with the fantasy land and monster summoning and all. I can see how kids could latch onto it, but I still think it's gonna be a hit or miss.

Well, like I've said before, although PoT is about tennis it is a pretty entertaining show with some good animation and pretty cool characters, although Ryouma's attitude gets annoying after 100 episodes. Not to mentaion it does a pretty good job of keeping almost every match different from others.
and for MAR, I started on this with fansub but didn't like it. When it hit Jetstream, I loved it. The dub, although not very good, makes it funnier or at least makes it funny enough to watch. And I like the MAR objects and some of the tasks he'll be going through are pretty cool.
