Why not let voice actors do the voice acting jobs?
I think if they let Rie Kugimiya as homage to the anime version it'll pull more viewers.

Because it wouldn't make sense if they ever reach the point where spoiler[Ed reunites with Al at the gate or when Al gets his body back]. It's harder to get away with casting women as males in live action.

If they decided that Alphonse is 19 years old, it won't make any sense let Rie Kugimiya being his voice.

Don't worry, the film won't reach that scene. The only way is Warner Bros. announcing a sequel.
