Is the Enterprise going to be an Autobot? Or maybe a Bird of Prey Decepticon?

While the properties' respective rights holder gave the comic book publisher a license for this cross-over, it makes sense since the "Star Trek" and "Transformers" movie rights are owned or partially-owned by Paramount Pictures.

The series takes place within the Star Trek universe, specifically the USS Enterprises' original crew. Captain Kirk, Spock, and Uhura come face to face with Optimus Prime while investigating a stress call at the edge of Klingon Space. The Autobots leader decides to lend a hand but the crew discover Optimus isn't the only robot in disguise.

Don't you mean a distress call? ANN might want to hire a copy editor. This wasn't exactly a long article proof.

Is that McCoy on the cover? Might want to add him to the original cast list in the article...

Paramount is vaguely involved here, as CBS handles the marketing for both the original incarnation of Star Trek and the Kelvin timeline franchise, the latter being licensed back from Paramount, who got the movie rights from CBS in the first place-- the copryright page for this book will credit both CBS and Paramount.

Actually, the Enterprise's ORIGINAL crew was the one it had when it first launched under the command of Robert April, back in 2245.
