I loved Initial D - up until roughly the Project D story arc where I thought it kind of fell off the wagon so to speak (to be fair I've been into Initial D prior to it first coming to the US in ~2002/03 so I experienced the series from it's beginnings). I've read MF Ghost and it's falling into a lot of similarity to Initial D's Project D story arc, so I'm not really enjoying it.
I also think Shigeno should stop writing stories about cars. I know now he's kind of the defacto manga-ka for cars but he really wore it out with Initial D. I thought Sailor Ace was a pretty good direction for him to go in, especially with the recent resurgence of sports manga/anime which gives it some legitimacy, and was surprised he ended that series so quickly (for those in the dark, Sailor Ace is a manga about a high school girl with a super powerful throwing arm that plays baseball).

...But he's the best at drawing cars.
