Interesting that they licensed the movie, despite the show not being licensed in North America at all. I guess its performance at the Animation is Film Festival (must've done pretty well) convinced them to license it.

Nice that it got picked up, and by GKIDS no less. Smile I have been meaning to watch the anime but I have not gotten around to it.

Does this movie work as a stand alone story without knowledge of the TV series? I also hope someone will license the show.
