The manga ran long enough, so I don’t mind it ending. I’m interested in checking out the 65th volume to see how the story ends, since the series has notably used a sliding time-scale.

North American manga publishers, now that we all know that the manga will end with 65 volumes, get on with licensing it! Laughing

Actually, Asahi Shōgakusei Shinbun is a newspaper (aimed at elementary school pupils).
'Shinbun' means 'newspaper'.
These are newspapers made by Japanese elementary school pupils, and the names of them say, 'Shinbun.' So it suggests that in Japan even elementary school pupils know the word 'shinbun'.
