They did release these films in a DVD set 15 years ago(?), right around the time Hollywood did the first adaptation of The Ring.
That set is long out of print, not worth getting IMHO at the prices being asked.
Arrow's a pretty good video label. No problem recommending them. They have a lot of good cult titles and are releasing a lot of mainstream titles (Weird Science) with better releases (more extras, sometimes remastered video) as well as more obscure European and Japanese films.
I had wanted to get The Ring Anthology on DVD way back but waited too long.
Glad to see the BD upgrade now!

I got the oriiginal Ringu DVD boxset way back when it first came out. I'm not one who normally watches horror movies as I'm usually too big of a scaredy cat for them but I've always enjoyed the classic Ringu films. I guess because they rely more on slow build suspense than jump scares and violence that they don't bother me as much and I've always found the story and character of Sadako to be interesting. It's too bad it seems like Ringu isn't as big these days as it used to be but I'm glad to see it finally getting a BD release.
