I hope no one calls this science fiction, because it is literally physically impossible for any insect to be that large. Besides, 1954's THEM! was way scarier and always will be. No need for bra shots, either.

Wouldn't really call them unnecessary. The entire point of the series is to be a B movie-esque tone. Which means lots of gratuitous nudity, sex, and violence.
